This is the mood or inspiration board I’ve put together for the dining room that will be mine in three weeks.  It’s definitely a work in progress, but it’s pretty close.  The things I’m loving:

- darker blue walls a la Minnie Mortimer’s own dining room

- a fancy bar set-up on one end of our new sideboard.  Check out Society Social.

- I see a few small photos and a flower vase on the other end of the sideboard.

- a dining table with non-matching side chairs and arm chairs

We actually have another wall where more art and a china cabinet or pie safe might go.  Let’s face it, I’ll never own china unless it’s gifted to me in a final will, but I do want to have a place to display Grandma Kitty’s teacups.
