A favorite corner in my living room.
On Saturday I went to tea at Bluestem with my mom and sister-in-law, Kim. The truffles and macaroons were out of this world. Daniel and I went there again last night for dinner. The best part of the meal was this tiny cracker filled with melty aged cheddar that erupted in an explosion of flavor in your mouth. We both decided we could have eaten a bowlful with a beer.
This skirt from Anthropologie is like a sweatshirt on your butt. Thanks Mom.
One more picture from this past weekend. Anna looks mostly like her mom, but my mom and I both think Anna has Bea’s eyes.
I made cupcakes last night for everyone in the office and brought in frostings and sprinkles so each person could decorate their own.
To win me over, all this kid has to do is include my name in any sentence. “Come Sarah.” “Sarah, whatcha doin?” “Thanks Sarah.” “My Sarah, my Sarah, my Sarah!”
It never gets old.
Miss Ellie Harper and her parents stayed with us this weekend. She is the happiest, most expressive baby I’ve ever met, and she’s pretty smitten with her Aunt Sarah.

2 Percent of Voters Thought Mitt Romney's Real Name Is 'Mittens' -
If only it was true.
Work has been rough lately. My workload is slowly down, and I’ve been working on the same project for a month now. I’m running out of steam. I’m trying to stay positive, so below I’ve listed some of the good things happening in my life.
- Trader Joe’s Power Berries. After your second handful, just remind yourself that they do contain real fruit juice (inside the dark chocolate coating).
- Suave Rosemary and Mint shampoo. I’m a sucker for edible smells (basil, mint, rosemary, citrus, lavender), and this shampoo smells heavenly and earthy. If you have thick hair like myself, pick up a thick conditioner because, well, it is Suave.
- I did my first boot camp at work last night, and I’m so sore. If I keep it up, I think I may see muscles again.
- Daniel and I booked a Memorial Day weekend trip to DC with two of our best friends from college. To say I’m excited would be an understatement.
- I turn 28 on the 28th, and I still have a good feeling about this year.
- My pop got a pottery wheel for Christmas, and a few weekends ago he promised me lessons this summer. I’ve been daydreaming about them ever since.
- Most of my family will be in KC this weekend for Anna’s baptism.
- I’m having a great hair day.
- I know I’m late to the show on this, but primer under your make-up is a game-changer.
